The SGNA Mentorship Program is a newly launched initiative in 2025 that provides a pathway through SGNA for nurses and associates new to the GI space. This program will provide resources to develop leadership skills, enhance career development, and personal growth for both the mentors and mentees. The program is built informally to allow participants to move through the process in a way that works for them and run in 12-month increments.
Both Mentors and Mentees will have the opportunity to apply for consideration into the program and will be paired based on information submitted through the application process. Program participants will attend a Mentorship Program Orientation to kick off the mentorship journey and complete bi-annual questionnaires from SGNA to gauge progress and provide feedback on the program.
A networking reception will be held at the SGNA 53rd Annual Course, May 17-19, 2026, in Atlanta, GA. Sponsors will be invited to attend and provide remarks in support of the initiative.
