Find your membership category
Member categories are based on your professional position. All member types will receive the same discounts and benefits. "Voting" members (nurses, LPN/LVNs, technicians and assistive personnel) are eligible to participate in electing members of the Board of Directors and Nominations and Elections Committee. "Non-voting members" (physicians, industry representatives, educators without an RN and retired members) are not eligible to participate in SGNA elections.
I'm an RN, LVN or LPN
Membership Category: Voting Licensed Nurse
This category includes registered nurses and licensed vocational/practical nurses involved in or associated with the practice gastroenterology.
Voting Licensed Nurse members are automatically included in a Regional Society of their choice (for members within the United States).

I'm a GI tech, medical assistant or unlicensed assistive personnel
Membership Category: Voting Associate
This category includes technicians and assistive personnel associated with the practice of gastroenterology.
Voting Associates members are automatically included in a Regional Society of their choice (for members within the United States).

Membership Category: Non-Voting Affiliate
This category includes but is not limited to industry representatives, physicians, consultants and educators without an RN who are associated with the practice of gastroenterology.
Affiliate members may choose to join a Regional Society by paying an additional fee. This fee varies depending on the regional society and membership length.

Membership Category: Non-Voting/Non-Practicing
This category is limited to retired professionals who wish to be kept informed of industry trends and advancements in the GI field.
