SGNA is pleased to accept applications from SGNA Regional Societies or non-profit providers of gastroenterology and/or endoscopy-related continuing education offerings for consideration of awarding contact hour approval. Each CE program is reviewed and evaluated by the Continuing Education Peer Review Group (CEPRG).
SGNA is accredited as an Approver and Provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
IMPORTANT: Paper Contact Hour Application Eliminated
Effective November 4, 2011, all applications shall be submitted to SGNA headquarters for approval using the online submission system. Paper applications will no longer be accepted.
IMPORTANT: Contact Hour Application Deadline Change
Effective January 1, 2011, all applications shall be submitted to SGNA headquarters for approval at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of the educational activity. Applications received less than 30 days prior to scheduled activity will not be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: ABCGN GI Specific contact hour process change
Effective January 1, 2012, ABCGN has revised its process for reviewing educational programs for GI Specific contact hours and implemented a $25 processing fee per program. Refer to the link, GI Specific Application, for additional information in this regard.
