Hands-on Education for Reprocessing Endoscopes (HERE)

Purpose
The purpose of this new course is to properly educate all those responsible for scope reprocessing by:

• Reviewing, identifying, and demonstrating the proper procedure for reprocessing flexible endoscopes according to SGNA standards and guidelines.



• Identifying additional resources to consult to determine product specific reprocessing issues.



• Reinforcing proper procedure through hands-on practice.

Program logistics

• The HERE Program will be conveniently offered at your facility upon your request.


• Fee for 7 students - $2,000


• Fee for every additional 5 students – add $1,500


• Pricing includes handouts for students, one SGNA Cleaning Chart per facility, coffee and soda.


• 4.25 Contact Hours awarded to participants

8:00 am – 12:30 pm

• Welcome; Introductions and Purpose of Program


• Review of SGNA standards and guidelines related to flexible endoscope reprocessing


• Observe a demonstration for proper endoscope reprocessing


• Demonstrate the proper procedure for reprocessing


• Discuss additional resources to consult for product specific information


• Conclusion and Evaluations
