SGNA 36th Annual Course: Attendees Find "Gateway to Opportunity"
More than 2,000 gastroenterology and endoscopy professionals made the valuable decision to find their “Gateway to Opportunity,” May 15-20, at SGNA’s 36th Annual Course in St. Louis, Missouri. The annual event offered six days of educational sessions and networking in a Midwestern city that boasts a rich history. Opportunities were endless, and attendees were eager to continue to impact the GI field, their patients and themselves by participating in this year’s Annual Course.
True to this year’s Annual Course theme, emphasizing the vision, knowledge and potential within each GI/endoscopy professional, this year’s Course offered attendees a host of opportunities to help them stay connected and to keep their education and training up-to-date. In turn, attendees showed their continued passion for advancement in the GI field and dedication to quality patient care.
In addition to top-notch educational sessions, networking was an event fixture, with attendees conversing in classrooms, the Exhibit Hall and throughout the America’s Center Convention Complex. The SGNA Annual Business Meeting and House of Delegates Meeting invited attendees to listen to delegates from various SGNA regions discuss and vote on resolutions intended to help drive the Society’s future direction. Members also eviewed reports presented by SGNA leadership and saw firsthand the steps that the Society is taking to continue to shape the field of GI/endoscopy nursing.
The 36th Annual Course also featured an expansive exhibit hall, with 27,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 90 exhibiting companies. Year after year, the exhibit hall presents countless networking opportunities for attendees to converse with new and old friends. Attendees have the unique experience to browse and view demonstrations of the latest products hitting the GI market, and are able to network face-to-face with leading industry organizations about these new products and services.
The 36th Annual Course was proof of the commitment and passion that gives SGNA its strength. Building on this year’s success, planning for the 37th Annual Course, April 30-May 5 in Orlando, Florida, is already well underway. Make plans to attend – you won’t want to miss it!
