New! Announcing the Enhanced Online Application for Contact Hour Approval

SGNA has launched a new online Approver Program! Fundamentally, the elements needed to complete the Application for nursing contact hours have not changed. SGNA staff will continue to support and direct the work of the Approver Unit and the Continuing Education Peer Review Group (CEPRG) will continue to provide peer reviews of the programs as well.

This new online process makes it more convenient for continuing education providers to apply for contact hour approval from SGNA.

You’ll save time! The new online application is more user-friendly. With intuitive prompts and application tips, it will help you correctly submit your applications the first time. Plus, use a credit card to pay your application fees online and save processing time!

You’ll save money! This new online application process no longer requires that hard copies of the application be provided via mail or fax. You’ll now save on photocopying and postage-related costs.

Please note the following important timelines for the approval process of nursing contact hours:

• Applications for nursing contact hour approval must be received at least 30 days prior to the scheduled learning activity
• Applications received at SGNA Headquarters 15 – 29 days prior to the activity will incur a $100 additional fee
• Applications received less than 15 days prior to the scheduled learning activity will not be accepted for review.
