IAHCSMM (The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management) Technicians and Associates interested in obtaining IAHCSMM re-certification points or studying for the Central Service Sterile Processing exam are able to complete one or more of the below modules from the SGNA Associates and Advanced Associates Programs. These modules are IAHCSMM approved and provide knowledge and skills pertaining to sterile reprocessing for the Technician and Associate.
ASSOCIATES PROGRAM MODULES
Modules from the SGNA Associates Program contain slides, diagrams and supporting documents to help provide instruction for the individual completing the module. Each module has a post-test that needs to be completed for the participant to receive their certificate. Certificates are available immediately for download once the individual has passed the module with a score of 80% or higher. You will need to print and make a copy of this certificate to provide to IAHCSMM. Don't forget to keep a copy for your records. SGNA does not need a copy of your certificate. The modules from this program include:
Module 1: Anatomy & Physiology: 1.0 points
Module 2: Equipment: 0.75 points
Module 3: Reprocessing/Infection Control: 0.75 points
Module 4: Safety: 1.0 points
Module Package: Includes all four of the above modules: 3.5 points

ADVANCED ASSOCIATES PROGRAM
Modules from the SGNA Advanced Associates Program contain slides, diagrams and supporting documents that include case studies to address the critical thinking component and a self-study component with skills validation. Each module has a post-test that needs to be completed for the participant to receive their certificate. Certificates are available immediately for download once the individual has passed the module with a score of 80% or higher. You will need to print and make a copy of this certificate to provide to IAHCSMM. Don't forget to keep a copy for your records. SGNA does not need a copy of your certificate. The modules from this program include:
Module 1: Communication: 1.5 points
Module 2: Equipment: 1.5 points
Module 3: Emergency Preparedness: 1.5 points
Module Package: Includes all 3 of the above modules: Includes all three of the above modules (4.5 points)
