SGNA STRUCTURE
SGNA is led by a Board of Directors and administered by an Executive Director. More than 7,500 members are organized into 62 local chapters, or Regional Societies, throughout the United States, with individual members in 13 other countries.
The Regional Societies host monthly or bi-monthly meetings, conferences and special programs for their members and visiting professionals. There are 17 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that allow members to network with other professionals to share practices and experiences on specific healthcare procedures and issues.
SGNA offers members continuing education courses, a professional journal and other publications in order to stay informed of innovations and standards in the field. SGNA is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
